Adulterous spirit:

Now Jacob took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods. And the rods which he had peeled, he set before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, so that they should conceive when they came to drink. So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted. (Genesis 30:37-39)

They offer sacrifices on the mountaintops, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks, poplars, and terebinths, because their shade is good. Therefore your daughters commit harlotry, and your brides commit adultery. (Hosea 4:13)

The spirit of adultery fills people's hearts with lustful thoughts, leading to promiscuous behavior, casual sex life, and marital infidelity. Watching pornography is one of the channels for the spirit of adultery to invade. The spirit of adultery can be transferred, so if a person has sexual relations with someone with a spirit of adultery (such as a prostitute), the spirit of adultery will come in. If a person is laid hands on by a person who commits adultery, he or she may also be contaminated by the spirit of adultery.

Among the seven tribes of Canaan, the Hivites (who give life) also represent the spirit of adultery.

Represents—the spirit of adultery!

Fornication, lust, passion, sex, perversion, and extramarital affairs are the devil's distortion of the meaning of life and abuse of human sexual function. The spirit of fornication is a kind of destruction.

The concept of adulterous spirit:

The spirit of adultery is a dark force that executes the "curse of divorce" in the spiritual world. It is one of the most effective spirits of the devil in destroying humanity. Like the "spirit of poverty," it is an evil spirit that is inherited from family members. It follows blood genes, habitual behavior patterns, wrong values, and deviant sexual behaviors, affecting family members from generation to generation.

Its main work is to seduce and cause sexual crimes, including premarital sex, extramarital affairs, sexual perversion, homosexuality and sexual addiction, and also lead to divorce. In addition to personality incompatibility, family and economic factors, being bound by the spirit of fornication, extramarital affairs and domestic violence (a violent and angry spirit) are the main reasons for the breakdown of marriages.

Signs of an adulterous spirit:

Promiscuity, sexual abuse, sexual indulgence, bestiality, homosexuality, bisexuality, incest, lust, masturbation, sexual perversion, pornography, lasciviousness, adultery, prostitution, anal sex, oral sex, fornication (affair), and adultery. The above situations are extreme manifestations of this evil spirit (the spirit of fornication). In addition, there are premarital sex, extramarital sex after marriage, illegal marriage, mental or emotional infidelity, watching obscene and fornicating films and videos, etc. 

Causes of sexual immorality:

Adultery is the most common and easiest sin since the fall of man. The spirit of adultery is one of the most effective ways for the devil to tempt people and completely destroy them. If you don't understand the reason, you can't break it. According to the Bible, the reasons are summarized as follows:

1. After losing intimacy with God, people only pursue carnal love and sexual desires run rampant.

• In fact, unity in the Lord is the most beautiful relationship, because it is God's gift to two people to glorify God with their body, mind and spirit. Therefore, the oneness of the couple, the mutual empathy in their hearts, and the communication during sexual intercourse are all beautiful in God's eyes. The unity of the couple will make the two love God more and use their power and grace to serve God better.

2. When man fell, he lost the beauty and happiness of the God-given intercourse between a man and a woman (see Genesis 3:16)

• Without the eternal meaning of union, and focusing only on the temporary love of the flesh, human love becomes selfish, with demands rather than support and provision. After losing the love of God, people generally tend to focus on their own flesh, need love, be unable to overcome their loneliness, and be aroused by the environment and people. However, the people who know God and hear the word of God must manage their own desires: do not indulge in them at will, and reject the temptation that will destroy our souls.

• The more chaotic the times are, the more people are mesmerized by physical beauty and do not pursue the beauty of the soul. There is a lot of vanity or inferiority between men and women.

• It is very easy for people to feel bored or dissatisfied with their spouse. The more decadent the times become, the more casually people date and break up. With hints and appropriate circumstances, people will fall into the snare of fornication.

• In pursuit of love, people engage in casual interactions outside of marriage (or in unauthorized relationships) to satisfy the emptiness in their hearts, which leads to indirect adultery and causes them to fall into a deep pit from which they cannot extricate themselves.

3. Prostitution and sex trafficking for money

“They do not direct their deeds toward turning to their God, For the spirit of harlotry is in their midst, And they do not know the Lord." (Hosea 5:4)

• A prostitute is a deep pit, and a foreign woman is a narrow trap. She lies in wait like a robber, and she makes many treacherous people. In other words, their clever words and the love, care, understanding, gentleness, beauty, and good looks they show are all used by the devil to seduce us, but they destroy our lives and put our souls into deep bondage, unable to extricate themselves.

Sexual crimes have serious consequences

Sexual immorality is a sin against the body, which will hurt our soul as well as our body:

• Because they are extremely accused, their relationship with God is completely broken and they lose their faith. They always have a sense of punishment in their hearts and even doubt their own rebirth and salvation.

• The heart loses the true meaning of love, and only pursues the satisfaction of the flesh and physical love: without holiness and a sense of freedom, no matter what kind of love it is, it is flooded with filth and darkness.

• Mental consequences: often in a state of guilt, low self-esteem, lack of self-love, shame, fear, lying, loneliness in the crowd, anger at oneself and others, and numbness to sin.

• Corruption of relationships and body: When the soul is defamed to a certain extent by sin, families will break up, the body will become sick, and future generations will be affected by the spirit of adultery.
