Prayer To Break the Spirit of Despair 1
Tana (Sandy; She will torment you):
Desperate Spirit
Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. (Proverbs 20:17)
The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed. (Deuteronomy 28:24)
He has also broken my teeth with gravel, and covered me with ashes. (Lamentations 3:16)
Dust replaces delicious food and sweet rain, making people's expectations dashed and shattered. This spirit takes away people's faith and hope, filling them with gloomy and negative thoughts, and eventually leading to suicide.
Concept:
The spirit of despair is usually caused by the surrounding environment. It is an extreme emotion that occurs when people reach the peak of disappointment. The spirit of despair will make people completely lose confidence in something, an individual, or a group. Despair is a kind of negative emotion of human beings.
Often the spirit of despair will seep into a person's emotions and feelings. When life, career or love suffers a major blow and there is no way to start over, the spirit of despair will bring the individual into a state of loss of hope, extreme desire and no response.
It manifests as:
- Despair usually manifests itself in divorce, death of the only relative, estrangement from friends and family, unemployment, bankruptcy, academic failure, bullying, terminal illness, etc.
- Desperate people will have a variety of reactions, such as crying, fear, suffering from mental illness, attempting suicide, or severing ties with society, losing interest in things, being less talkative or cold, etc.
- There will also be physical manifestations, such as stress responses such as changes in heart rate, increased blood pressure, night sweats, tremors, etc. Sometimes even strong physiological reactions such as cardiac arrest, shock, and even death may occur.
Causes of despair:
- The patient has suffered severe setbacks or trauma in childhood, which has left a psychological shadow on the patient.
- Some brain lesions.
- The adverse effects of the environment and people around the patient.
- Lack of meaning in life, hope is based on unreliable support, and people become desperate when the support changes, such as politics, economy, society, law, career, body and interpersonal relationships.
No matter what circumstances we are in, we ask God to use His words to become a reliable foundation in our lives. Even though there are hardships in life, we firmly believe that God, who gives life and controls life, will surely lead and protect us and guide the path of our lives.
My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. (Psalm 62:5-6)
